Wienerschnitzel, one of the world’s largest hot dog chains, has announced its partnership with Joe Gibbs Racing, a North Carolina-based professional supercross and motocross team, as a sponsor and the official hot dog. J.R. Galardi, 25, son of Wienerschnitzel late founder, John Galardi, and CEO, Cindy Galardi Culpepper, spearheaded the sponsorshp agreement.  The partnership is one of the first activations of Wienerschnitzel’s newly developed visionary department, which will focus 100 percent on capturing tomorrow’s consumer.

“We are expanding and want to introduce our brand to a younger audience. Supercross and motocross is a perfect match for our strategic plans,” says Wienerschntizel Chief Visionary Officer J.R. Galardi. “This partnership is a great way to kick off big things to come for Wienerschnitzel.”

As the first quick service restaurant brand to ever partner with the Toyota/Yamaha/JGRMX team, Wienerschnitzel logos will be placed on bikes of pro-racers, Justin Barcia, #51 and Weston Peick, #40. The company-branded bikes will debut at the 2014 Monster Energy Cup Saturday, October 18 at Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“When we first began talking with J.R. everyone was telling me how great their food was, as most of the team had previously lived and worked on the west coast,” says JGRMX President and Founder Coy Gibbs. “We have enjoyed getting to know J.R. and Wienerschnitzel President Dennis Tase, and we look forward to a fun and rewarding relationship with the brand.”
