The first Atlanta Wingstop will open on November 27 from 4pm until midnight, at 6010 Singleton Road, Suite 206 in Norcross. The official Grand Opening Celebration will take place 6-8 weeks after the opening.
“We are excited to finally open,” said Gauthier. “With holiday parties and the Super Bowl coming up, we are sure that we will stay very busy.” Jim Deering, vice president of Wingstop, explained that the Atlanta store is their 21st store to open and they have 27 stores currently under development in Texas, Missouri, Louisiana, Alabama, and Oklahoma.
“This concept has been very successful,” said Deering. “We currently receive approximately 200 requests per month for franchise information.” Gauthier, an Atlanta resident, first learned about Wingstop from a top 10-franchise list in Black Enterprise Magazine. After learning that the franchise originated in Dallas, he contacted his business partner, Lawrence, who lives in Dallas, to inquire about the wings.
Lawrence told Gauthier that the wings were the best he had ever had. Gauthier decided to trade in his sales job with AT&T to serve wings full-time.
