Wingstop announced today that it has chosen Feeding America, the nation’s largest hunger relief organization, as its national charity of record. Wingstop’s commitment to Feeding America will provide a minimum of $50,000 annually towards the nationwide fight against hunger.

Supporting a charity system-wide resulted as part of Wingstop’s year-long effort to define its corporate culture, principles and beliefs.

“We want to be better stewards in both the communities we serve and in those we don’t,” said Bill Knight, Wingstop COO. “Feeding America shares several of our core values—compassion and a desire to feed those who are hungry in this country.”

Knight also cited that Feeding America addresses the problem of domestic hunger by distributing more than 2 billion pounds of food and grocery product annually to more than 25 million Americans.

“Through Feeding America’s network of food banks they are able to service hungry people in every county in the United States. They are everywhere we have restaurants or will eventually have restaurants,” said Knight.

Doug Montgomery, director of new business and partnership development at Feeding America said, “We are very excited Wingstop has chosen to partner with Feeding America to help end domestic hunger and look forward to expanding the relationship in the years to come.”
