Lamazou Cheese, the 16-year-old cheese and meat shop located in the heart of Murray Hill, New York, signed a lease for its first restaurant at 344 Third Avenue, between 25th and 26th Streets.
“Lamazou Cheese is a staple in the community, and we expect their neighborhood following to make this restaurant a huge success,” says Winick Realty Group’s Joshua Singer, who represented both the tenant and the landlord, ATA Enterprises, with his associate Cosmo Montemurro.
The 3,600-square-foot location, which co-owners Nancy and Aziz Lamazou described as their “dream restaurant,” is expected to open in late September or early October. The Mediterranean bistro will incorporate Lamazou’s expertise in cheeses into a menu based on French culinary techniques influenced by southern European and northern African cuisine. The location’s warm, contemporary design will also include a full bar, a salumeria, and a distinctive wine list from around the world.
