Yoshinoya, a Japanese restaurant chain and global brand with more than 1,400 worldwide locations, announced four new restaurant openings in their core U.S. market of Southern California. Riding on the success of its Japanese Beef Bowl concept, 2009 continues to be a year of aggressive growth for Yoshinoya, with brand new locations in Los Angeles, Lakewood, Sun Valley, and Sylmar, California. With the latest additions, the quick-service brand now operates or franchises 95 locations in the U.S.
“This is a significant step toward achieving our development and operations goals,” says vice president of franchise sales Scot Hobert. “Yoshinoya will continue our expansion plans, focused primarily on rapid West Coast market development, as well as growth in nearby states. Learning from 30 years of unequaled loyalty of our domestic customers, we hope to grow and earn new fans across Los Angeles and beyond.”
Yoshinoya is on track to open its 100th location before the end of 2009.
