After surpassing its three-year sales goals in the first year on the market Yuengling’s Ice Cream is again experiencing record sales growth. This growth was fueled in part by proper retailer shelf placement of the Yuengling pint brand coupled with a coupon promotion that offered customers using the myGiant app at participating Giant stores a digital coupon on Yuengling’s Ice Cream pints beginning on March 18. This coupon was loaded directly onto their Giant Rewards card.
By offering a digital coupon without the need to clip coupons and eliminating the risk of forgotten or lost coupons, Yuengling’s Ice Cream has seen a 500 percent increase in sales rates versus physical coupons.
“The success of this partnership with Ahold’s digital coupon distribution has been overwhelming,” says David Yuengling, president of Yuengling’s Ice Cream. “We are thrilled with the consumer response and are currently ramping up production in order to meet the increasing demand.”
