Nashville-based development firm Forbes Plunkett Development recently celebrated the opening of the Zaxby's at 2241 Murfreesboro Road in the Nashboro Village area of Nashville. The company rehabbed a former restaurant building into a Zaxby's restaurant and now has its sites set on similar projects in Florida.

The company’s entree into Florida includes working with franchisee SAW Management Group on building a new location in the Jacksonville suburb of Middleburg, Florida. The new construction of the restaurant is expected to be completed by September 19 with an opening date of October 1 and will be the franchisee’s 10th location in the state. Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida-based Moducomm Construction is serving as contractor on the project.

"Zaxby's has done such a great job of branding and choosing franchisees that are good operators, which is appealing to developers like myself," says Brandon Plunkett. "They have been in the top three of best franchises to open each of the past three years and continue to grow as a company. Both the company and the franchisees are reasons we want to continue to help them grow by building stores for them."

Forbes Plunkett continues to look at additional markets for Zaxby's, including the Orlando market. The company is scheduled to close on another site in October in Sanford, Florida, and will hope to have that location open in January.
