Zoës Kitchen, a fast-casual restaurant concept offering tasty and simple Mediterranean dishes, announced the debut of superfood quinoa onto its menu. The Quinoa Salad rolled out in all Zoës Kitchen locations nationwide September 24.

We are always looking for new and exciting ways to provide our guests with balanced Mediterranean meals that they can feel good about eating,” says Kevin Miles, CEO of Zoës Kitchen. “Featuring the nutritional and health benefits of grains and vegetables, the staples of the Mediterranean diet, our new Quinoa Salad is a great example of our continued commitment to encouraging our guests to embrace the wholesome Mediterranean lifestyle.”

Quinoa is an ancient super grain boasting powerful health benefits. It is one of the most protein-rich foods containing all nine essential amino acids, and has almost twice as much fiber as most other grains. The Zoës Kitchen new Quinoa Salad is made with quinoa, tomatoes, cucumbers, broccoli, fresh greens, celery, feta, green onions, and light lemon vinaigrette. The new menu item is vegetarian-friendly and vegan-friendly when ordered without feta. It is also peanut, egg, and soy-free.

Boasting fresh ingredients and gluten-free goodness, this Mediterranean style Quinoa Salad is loaded with 14 grams of protein per serving. The Quinoa Salad will also be available across all locations as a Fresh Side on the Zoës Kitchen catering menu beginning Tuesday, September 24 and as a Fresh Takes take-home tub starting Tuesday, November 12.
