Zoup! Expands to Philadelphia’s Uptown Worthington Development

  • Industry News August 21, 2018

Zoup!, the fast casual restaurant known for its award-winning soups and made-to-order salads and sandwiches, has stirred up quite a following in Pennsylvania, with 11 locations serving a loyal customer base. Now, Malvern residents will get to see (and taste) what the fuss is all about when the popular Zoup! brand opens its newest location in the bustling Uptown Worthington development on Philadelphia’s Main Line. The new restaurant is the fifth for franchise owners Paul and Julie Diaz.

“This location is special for us because it’s also a homecoming,” says Paul Diaz. “We opened our first Zoup! 10 years ago in Frazer and it feels great to be back in this area. We can’t wait to begin serving our convenient, fresh and delicious food in a premier retail center like Uptown Worthington.”

Diaz spent 20 years in management at two large waste and recycling companies before he discovered Zoup! in 2007 during a visit to Michigan. Immediately impressed, he and Julie became franchise owners and haven’t looked back, now owning and operating more Zoup! restaurants than any other franchise owner. They currently own Zoup! restaurants in Lancaster, Plymouth Meeting, Wyomissing and Collegeville and have enjoyed becoming an integral part of these communities.

Located at 650 Carnegie Blvd. in Malvern, Zoup! Uptown Worthington is slated to debut this fall. The restaurant will be open 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday. For additional information, visit zoup.com.

Zoup! features a wide variety of award-winning soups with 12 rotating daily varieties, including low-fat, low-cal, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free options, all served with a hunk of freshly baked bread. Customer favorites include Chicken Potpie, Lobster Bisque and Simply Gazpacho, but guests are encouraged to find the soup that’s perfect for them by sampling before they order. The menu also features seasonal, made-to-order salads and sandwiches, and all menu items are available in convenient catering sizes for groups of 10 or more. Online ordering is also available at zoup.com. Guests should join Zoup!’s InsiderZ program for more information, news and special offers including a “buy a bowl, get one free” deal just by signing up.
