ItsaCheckmate, a leading first- and third-party online ordering technology provider, announced it has successfully completed its Service Organization Control (SOC) 2 Type II certification. The SOC 2 is an auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts (AICPA). Successful completion of the SOC 2 Type II audit further validates ItsaCheckmate’s focus on security and compliance, demonstrating a major milestone for the company.
SOC 2 defines criteria for managing customer data based on five “trust service principles” – security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. Achieving the SOC 2 Type II Security TSP demonstrates ItsaCheckmate’s ability to not only implement critical security policies but also prove compliance over an extended period of time.
“Our business continues to grow thanks to ItsaCheckmate’s ability to build trust and create solutions that provide value. The safety of our customers’ data is no different,” says Vishal Argarwal, ItsaCheckmate Founder and CEO. “SOC 2 Type II compliance reaffirms our commitment to being a best-in-class digital ordering provider, giving restaurants even greater confidence that their data is being carefully stored and protected.”
This SOC 2 Type II audit certification follows several other milestones this year, including the launch of a Reconcile, a new financial reporting automation solution, and the acquisition of Open Tender, a customizable first-party ordering and guest engagement platform.
