Smashburger announced it will provide first responders assisting in the rescue and evacuation operation of Bolder County, Colorado's flood emergency a free entree, side, and beverage at all of its Colorado-area units. A valid first responder ID is required for redemption.
The company also invites first responders to use its restaurants as a place to take a break and charge electronic devices as needed.
Additionally, Smashburger's Smashmobile will be onsite to serve breakfast to evacuees and first responders at Longmont-Niwot High School on Monday, September 16, starting at 6 a.m.
"The flooding that started on Thursday in Boulder County is a terrible situation. As the flooding progresses statewide, all those affected will remain in our thoughts," says Dave Prokupek, CEO of Smashburger. "Colorado is Smashburger's home, so we want to show our thanks for the efforts of our extraordinary first responders by offering them free food and a place to take a break and charge their cell phones and other mobile devices. These are our heroes, and we appreciate their hard work during this very difficult time."
