A Piece of the Pi
March 14 is National Pi Day across America. Fittingly, many pizza chains are responding with deals and discounts to honor the occasion. But that doesn’t mean the offers are strictly of the cheesy variety. Here are some of the best promotions around.
&pizza
For the third consecutive year, &pizza is hosting free weddings for local coups at its restaurants in Washington, D.C., New York City, Philadelphia, and Baltimore for National Pi Day. Through partnerships with Lyft, Milk Bar, UrbanStems, and Framebridge, couples and their guests will be given the wedding of a lifetime at absolutely no cost.
The chain is pulling out all the stops—flowers, photography, food and beverage, a ceremony, and more day-of surprises. The shops are converted into chapels for the day, while guests can walk in and join the celebration as well. The brand expects to host at least a dozen weddings this year.
Bojangles’
The chicken chain is switching things up a bit. On National Pi Day, Bojangles’ customers can grab three Sweet Potato Pie pies at the appropriate price of $3.14 at participating locations while supplies last.
The Bojangles’ Sweet Potato Pie is a crisp, oven-baked pastry, filled with sweet potato purée and covered in a slightly sweet butter and cinnamon sugar topping. The pie is designed for on-the-go snacking. It can also be used in desserts such as this sweet potato pie milkshake.
“Our Sweet Potato Pie makes for a fantastic breakfast, snack or dessert,” says Grant Springer, senior director and head of culinary Innovation at Bojangles’. “Bojangles’ fanatics will absolutely love this Pi Day offer. For those who haven’t tried our Sweet Potato Pie, this is the best opportunity to do so. Make a visit to Bojangles’ part of your Pi Day plans.”
