In today’s social world, customers expect the information they need and want within seconds. That’s why menu management service Locu is partnering with Yelp to let restaurants distribute and update their menus, daily specials, and photos on Yelp in real time.

“Our goal at Locu is to help local businesses, in particular restaurants, broadcast everything from menus to daily specials to operating hours across the Web,” says cofounder and CEO Rene Reinsberg. “With over 100 million monthly visitors, Yelp is one of the most important places for local business customers to be found by consumers.”

Locu’s customers can design, update, and manage online menus using a central dashboard, then share them on Yelp and its mobile sites to broadcast their updated information to millions of consumers.

Jan Talamo, chief creative officer of Star Group, an integrated marketing firm, says engagement tools that help drive visits to restaurants are great ways to increase revenue and traffic counts.

“As we continue down the mobile road, having an immediate information exchange and update is critical, and any opportunity to engage and entice customers is a huge opportunity,” she says.

Reinsberg says the new partnership helps solve one of the most difficult challenges quick-service restaurans face: outdated information.

"The cost of not having updated information available is detrimental to a restaurant,” he says. “We want to help our customers get discovered by as many potential consumers as possible.”
