Starting with a single hot dog stand built in California in 1961, soon the iconic A-Frame restaurant began popping up throughout the Southwest. An efficient floor plan was designed for speed of service and reduced labor. The buildings feature a walk-up order window, shaded patio, and inside dining in larger units. A turnkey low cost of construction and equipment is estimated at $600,000–$900,000.

Its unique menu includes world famous Chili Dogs, Chili Cheese Fries, Corn Dogs, and delicious Tastee Freez Soft-Serve dessert, which includes Dipped Cones, Shakes, Banana Splits, and Freezees. It’s a simple menu consisting of tasty, unique items that customers can only get at Wienerschnitzel. Because of this, Wienerschnitzel has established a cult-like following for more than 50 years.
A new marketing and visionary team is driving in waves of new customers, helping to increase same-store sales over the past five consecutive years. Wienerschnitzel is expanding, both at home and abroad, with traditional and select non-traditional location opportunities available for experienced and existing multi-unit foodservice operators. The company is actively pursuing qualified multi-unit operators to open in U.S. cities, specifically in Western, Southern and Midwestern states, with attractive development terms.
The company is also expanding in Central and South America and select Asian and Middle East countries.
The Heritage model available for franchising is the latest design concept for Wienerschnitzel, offering a walk-up, drive-thru, and a compact design that can be built on as little as a 15,000 square foot pad, providing a competitive edge at a lower cost.The Express model is designed as a modified, scaled-down Wienerschnitzel and Tastee Freez to fit into a 300–600 square foot space. The Express model is specifically designed for non-traditional spaces like casinos, airports, convenience stores, military bases, and college campuses. Hybrid full Wienerschnitzel franchise options include urban street, end-cap strip center, and mall locations.
Wienerschnitzel has ramped-up expansion efforts and has stepped into a new era for the next generation.
