Domino's Pizza to Consumers: We're Saying 'No' for You!

Domino's Pizza is pushing the boundaries of the industry's advertising and is doing something it never would have imagined: telling customers "no." 

A national campaign beginning today light-heartedly demonstrates the confidence Domino's has in its Artisan Pizza recipes, and the importance of showing customers how special these four pizzas are, while debuting the latest flavor to its Artisan lineup: Chicken & Bacon Carbonara.

The Chicken & Bacon Carbonara is the first of Domino's Artisan Pizzas to feature either topping.

Technology 'Pivotal' to Domino's Success, Says CEO

Speaking to investors during Domino’s Pizza’s 2011 fourth-quarter earnings call, J. Patrick Doyle, the company's president and CEO, said estimated global online sales in 2011 had exceeded $1.8 billion. Further, online sales comprise around one-third of the company's U.S. sales.

Online orders continue to "grow at a steady clip," Doyle said.

Doyle credited the company's social media strategy, as well as the brand's investment in online transaction technology, for the landmark achievement. "Technology is so pivotal to our business today," he told investors.

Harsha Agadi Named Executive Chairman of Quiznos' Board

Quiznos, one of the nation’s premier quick-service restaurant chains and pioneer of the toasted sandwich, announced it has named Harsha V. Agadi as executive chairman of its Board of Managers.

Originally from Mumbai, India, Agadi brings more than 25 years’ experience with foodservice companies to the position, having worked with Domino’s Pizza, Pepsi, Kraft, General Foods, Little Caesars Enterprises, Church’s Chicken, and most recently, Friendly’s Ice Cream Company.

Domino's Pizza Debuts Parmesan Bread Bites

Domino's Pizza announces the launch of their new Parmesan Bread Bites, debuting at $1 for a limited time.

When ordering the popular, already-valuable two medium, two-topping pizzas deal for $5.99 each, consumers will be able to add 16 Parmesan Bread Bites for only $1 more. The bite (or two) size, brand new, permanent menu item is there for the sharing – which, based on the goodness of freshly baked bread topped with garlic and parmesan, may not be easy.

Wendy’s Enters Japan With Grand Opening in Tokyo

The Wendy’s Company today announced the grand opening of the first joint venture Wendy’s restaurant in Japan, located in Tokyo’s Omotesando area.

Starting with Tokyo, Wendy’s Japan LLC plans a national rollout of restaurants in the coming years. Wendy’s Japan plans to open approximately 100 Wendy’s restaurants within the next five years and estimates the long-term market potential to be about 700 restaurants.

Wendy’s Japan LLC was established earlier this year as a joint venture between Wendy’s and Higa Industries Co., Ltd.
