CSPI applauds PepsiCo’s plans to start phasing out its sugary soft drinks from schools around the globe in January 2011. Coca-Cola will continue to sell its soft drink products until at least 2013.
In attempts to expand the company’s U.S. footprint, Pepsi Bottling Group Inc. plans to purchase the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Co. of Yuba City Inc. in northern California.
To promote the partnership, fans spotted in the tri-state area wearing Yankees gear and drinking Pepsi will be rewarded with tickets and team merchandise.
