Checkers & Rally’s is celebrating 40 years of bold flavor by bringing the Fry Love straight to the heart of New York City.
On Wednesday, Sept. 23 – Checkers Day – from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the brand’s 43-foot Fry Love Express will roll into Herald Square in Manhattan, directly in front of Macy’s between 34th and 35th Streets, serving up complimentary Famous Seasoned Fries as part of Checkers & Rally’s 40th anniversary celebration.
Guests can stop by throughout the day for complimentary Famous Seasoned Fries, games and giveaways, including an oversized Checkers game. The first 50 guests will also receive a Checkers & Rally’s Anniversary Cup as a souvenir. Power 105.1 will join the celebration with an on-air personality and street team on-site. And the Fry Love continues after the event: guests will receive a coupon for a complimentary small order of Famous Seasoned Fries at their local participating Checkers restaurant.
The larger-than-life Fry Love Express travels the country delivering Checkers & Rally’s signature Famous Seasoned Fries and creating memorable experiences for fans along the way. Since hitting the road in 2021, the Fry Love Express has traveled more than 150,000 miles, attended 275+ events, spent more than 875 days on the road and served Famous Seasoned Fries to more than 225,000 people nationwide – that’s millions of hot, crispy, Famous Seasoned Fries handed out along the way.

The New York City stop is part of Checkers & Rally’s 40th “Flava Versary,” a celebration of four decades of doing things differently and delivering the bold, craveable flavors fans have come to expect from the iconic drive-thru brand. The celebration also includes new limited-time menu offerings, including the Flava Max Double and Flava Max Chicken Bites & Fries Box, starting at $3.49, available at participating Checkers & Rally’s locations nationwide.
And the Fry Love won’t stop in Manhattan. Following the Herald Square celebration, the Fry Love Express will head to Sneaker Con Brooklyn on Saturday, Sept. 26 and Sunday, Sept. 27, bringing complimentary Famous Seasoned Fries to one of the country’s premier sneaker culture events.
