Slim Chickens, a leader in the “better chicken” segment of fast-casual restaurants, will continue expansion of its 100% all-natural, fresh chicken and unrivaled flavor in Arkansas, with its newest opening at 1310 W Kingshighway in Paragould on February 19th. 

Cody Davis and his brother, Scott Davis, were both raised in the restaurant industry as their parents ran very successful restaurant businesses. Cody was introduced to Slim Chickens while attending the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where it quickly became a weekly tradition to visit his local Slim Chickens to refuel during his studies. Many years later, when the opportunity to franchise with Slim Chickens arose, the Davis brothers saw the potential in what Slim Chickens could bring and jumped at the opportunity. The Paragould location will be the brother’s 6th Slim Chickens location, in addition to owning many restaurants across Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Tennessee. 

“Paragould is a beautiful city in Northeast Arkansas,” says Cody. “The area has seen great growth over the past few years and is an ideal place to open a new restaurant. The community has already shown much excitement to see Slim Chickens coming into their town and we couldn’t be more excited to bring them a great experience.” 

Aside from bringing its famous, delicious fried chicken and Southern-inspired sides to the area, the new Slim Chickens location in Paragould will also make a positive economic impact with over 75 new jobs anticipated for creation in the community. 

The Paragould opening is one piece in Slim Chickens’ larger growth story. Since its founding in 2003, the brand has celebrated over 200 locations opened and a fanatical following in 34 U.S. states, as well as international locations in the United Kingdom, with an overall goal of opening 600 restaurants by 2025. In Arkansas alone, the brand has already grown tremendously to 28 locations.
