A blazing hot addition is coming to Monroeville's dining scene. In honor of Pi Day, Blaze Fast-Fire'd Pizza, the country's leading fast-casual pizza concept, announced it will bring a new type of "pie" to Monroeville, Pennsylvania, this May. The restaurant, known for its chef-driven menu and casually hip restaurants, will be located on William Penn Highway, between Men's Wearhouse and Red Lobster. This marks the second Blaze Pizza in the Keystone State and the first in Monroeville.
"Blaze Pizza has a lot in common with Monroeville; we both take pride in our community and our food," says Phil Sero, vice president of operations for Blaze Pizza in the Pittsburgh area. "Monroeville diners will love our modern, fast take on a traditional favorite. We are thrilled to bring this one-of-a-kind concept to the people of Pennsylvania, and what better day to announce this exciting news than on Pi Day?"
Each restaurant makes its own dough from scratch, using a recipe, developed by critically acclaimed executive chef Bradford Kent, which requires a 24-hour fermentation period to produce his signature light-as-air, crisp crust. For pizza fans with specific dietary needs, Blaze Pizza offers gluten-free dough and vegan cheese.
The authenticity of Blaze Pizza, along with its culture that genuinely focuses on the happiness of its guests and crew, has been the key to the concept's popularity and expansion. Blaze's close attention to detail extends well beyond the food, as seen by its carefully considered, modern approach to restaurant design. Award-winning design architect Ana Henton is adding several unique, modern touches to the Monroeville location, including an oversized wall mural custom-designed to suit the space.
Driven by its commitment to "Intelligent Choices for Our Pizzas, People & Planet," the restaurant will be constructed with recycled and sustainable materials, use eco-friendly packaging, and feature energy-efficient LED lighting. The 3075 square foot interior will include seating for more than 75 inside and an additional 20 seats on an outdoor patio.
The new Blaze Pizza will also be hosting fundraisers for local community organizations once they open. The restaurant will be putting information out soon on how Monroeville groups can apply.
