Can tortilla chips predict who will win a presidential election? “How the States Got Their Shapes,” which airs on the H2 network, will be answering that question with help from East Coast fast casual restaurant chain California Tortilla. The segment will appear on the popular show’s season premiere Saturday, September 29, at 10:00 p.m. (Eastern).
During the episode, California Tortilla used red and blue tortilla chips to predict how the Old Dominion state might fall in the upcoming election.
The chain is currently offering presidential-themed bowls – Romney’s Mexican Mitt Loaf Bowl and Obama’s Chicken Teriyaki Luau Bowl – to help customers vote with their taste buds during the election season.
To celebrate the TV exposure, California Tortilla will give a free order of Chips and Queso to diners who buy a Presidential Bowl and mention the secret password, History Channel, this Friday (9/28) and Saturday (9/29).
The restaurant will also conduct trivia contests via Facebook and Twitter based on the segment.
This is the fifth presidential election cycle California Tortilla has offered themed menu items to predict who will win.
