Starbird is bringing its Positively Delicious Chicken to the Midwest with plans to open its first Chicago-area restaurant in St. Charles, Illinois. The upcoming opening marks a major milestone in the fast-growing chicken brand’s expansion into the Midwest and the first of five planned locations in partnership with Keystone Management Group.

Known for its bold, globally inspired flavors and culinary-forward approach to fast-casual dining, Starbird brings a fresh, flavorful approach with high-quality ingredients and made-from-scratch preparation. Tenders are antibiotic-free and hand-breaded daily, vegetables are freshly chopped, beverages are made in-house, and sauces are prepared from scratch, including Starbird’s signature Star Sauce. Guests can look forward to a diverse menu of crispy chicken sandwiches, tenders, wings, wraps, salads, nuggets and more. The brand’s innovative take on classic chicken favorites continues to drive its expansion into new markets nationwide.

The first restaurant will open on Oct. 19 at 845 S. Randall Rd. in St. Charles, Illinois, with additional locations throughout the Chicago area expected to follow under the multi-unit agreement. Development will be led by Keystone Management Group, whose industry experience aligns with Starbird’s strategy of partnering with established operators in high-growth markets.

“We’re incredibly excited to open the doors and introduce Starbird to the St. Charles community,” said Melanie Bowling with Keystone Management Group. “From the beginning, we wanted this opening to be about more than bringing a new restaurant to the area. St. Charles and the surrounding communities have such a strong sense of local pride, and we’re looking forward to celebrating alongside our guests while finding a fun way to give back to the schools and students who make this community special.”

Starbird identified Chicago as a strategic next step in its national expansion due to the market’s scale, strong food culture and long term growth potential. With nearly 10 million consumers in the nation’s third-largest DMA, the market offers an opportunity to build brand awareness in one of the country’s most influential dining destinations as the brand expands its footprint. The expansion also allows Starbird to establish a local presence in the community and build lasting connections with guests through its commitment to quality and hospitality.

“Expanding into Chicago is an important milestone for the brand and another example of our disciplined approach to growth,” said Greg Levin, CEO of Starbird. “We’re focused on entering markets where we see long-term opportunity and partnering with operators who can help us grow while preserving the guest experience and operational standards that define Starbird.”

The Chicago announcement follows Starbird’s recent expansion into Washington state, where the brand opened its first location in Seattle. As the company continues to grow, Starbird said it remains focused on strategic market selection, local community engagement and sustainable long-term expansion.
