Teriyaki bowls incoming! Beginning Thursday, Oct. 15, Teriyaki Madness (TMAD) is teaming up with Zipline, the world’s largest autonomous delivery service, to fly orders straight to customers across the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and Houston later this year. No traffic. No detours. Just huge bowls of awesomeness, taking the express route from wok to sky to doorstep.

Zipline’s all electric drones are entirely autonomous and have zero-emissions, meaning fanatics can get their teriyaki fix faster while putting a little less pressure on the planet. Most orders arrive in less than five minutes.

This certainly isn’t Zipline’s first flight. Since 2014, the company has flown more than 140 million autonomous miles and now completes a delivery somewhere in the world every 20 seconds. Its network was built to transport blood, medicine, and critical medical supplies to more than 5,000 hospitals and health centers — work that continues across Africa today. Zipline brought its precision, home-delivery technology to the United States in 2025, and now serves dozens of communities through partnerships including retailers like Walmart and a growing roster of restaurant brands.

“Getting bowls to people faster has always been the mission, and at some point you run out of shortcuts on the ground,” said Jodi Boyce, chief marketing officer of Teriyaki Madness. “Zipline has more flight experience than anyone out there, so we knew our bowls were in good hands — or, really, in good drones.”

The launch caps a busy year for a brand that has spent 2026 doubling down on what fanatics want most: bigger value, bolder flavors, and fewer reasons to settle. And now, there’s one less reason to wait. Whether it arrives by air or by hand, every TMAD bowl is still cooked to order with fresh ingredients, crave-worthy proteins, signature sauces, and portions that prove everything really is bigger in Texas.

“Zipline brings customers the food they’re craving the fastest way possible,” said Emily Snyder, vice president of restaurant sales at Zipline. “With Teriyaki Madness’s focus on fresh, premium ingredients, Zipline can make sure those quality meals are delivered exactly as the restaurant intended.”

Zipline delivery will be available to TMAD customers starting at the Denton location and quickly expanding to additional shops across the Lone Star State.

The delivery process is fast and simple: a customer places an order in the Zipline app. Once the order is ready, Zipline’s drones autonomously retrieve it, and quietly fly it to the delivery destination. Upon arrival, the drone stays up to 300 feet in the air while a smaller pod containing the order descends to the ground on a tether. The pod gently places the order on the ground with precision, and can even deliver in high winds and bad weather conditions. After delivery, the drone flies back to charge for its next order.
