At 8 a.m. on Feb. 23, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts will launch its 75th birthday celebrations with the revealing of a Sweet Surprise for its fans, and the unveiling of the newly branded No. 2 Krispy Kreme Race Car at Krispy Kreme, 980 International Speedway Blvd., Daytona Beach, Florida, 32114.

On Feb. 8, Krispy Kreme announced its partnership with Coulter Motorsports and sponsorship of Gray Gaulding, just weeks before the championship winning driver’s 14th birthday. In addition to racing No. 2 in 16 Pro All Star Series (PASS) South Super Late Model South Races, Gray and No. 2 will make several personal appearances at Krispy Kreme Shops and events in the Southeast.

“We love the youthful spirit, humility, fun, respect, and focus Gray shows as he continues to pursue his dreams,” says Dwayne Chambers, chief marketing officer for Krispy Kreme.

“We believe he can be an inspiration to people young and old about daring to dream and reaching those dreams. Ultimately, we feel that Gray will do a great job of representing the brand and communicating our purpose of touching and enhancing lives through the joy that is Krispy Kreme.”

"We strive to impact not only our fans’ lives, but also our young drivers’ careers by creating lasting memories on and off the track, “ explains Coulter Motorsports owner Joe Coulter. “We are very excited about building upon this new venture with Krispy Kreme and Gray Gaulding, as our goal has always been to create lasting family memories, be a force to be reckoned with on the race track, and win races for our team."

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Kevin Harvick is largely responsible for Gaulding’s success to date. Gaulding was a developmental driver with Kevin Harvick Incorporated in 2011 and learned a lot from the company owners.
