The Krystal Company announced today the appointment of James W. Bear as the company’s vice president and chief financial officer.

Bear brings more than 35 years of financial, accounting and senior management experience to The Krystal Company. Bear most recently served as senior vice president and chief financial officer for The Steak n Shake Company, where he was instrumental in the publicly traded company’s growth from 100 locations to more than 400 locations. Bear’s responsibilities during his more than 25 years with Steak n Shake included finance and planning, accounting and information technology, administration, investor relations, purchasing and distribution, and construction.
