Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop announces the opening of its first Washington location in Tukwila on Tuesday, September 8. This new location marks the chain’s expansion to 18 states and federal districts, putting the sandwich franchise in over a third of the U.S. To celebrate the latest addition to the famous sandwich brand, Capriotti’s will be giving away a free 9 inch Bobbie to the first 100 guests who line up at 10 a.m. on opening day. On Saturday, October 3, Capriotti’s will be commemorating the grand opening by giving away free Bobbies for a year to the first 100 guests who make a purchase. In addition, all proceeds for the day will be donated to the Tukwila Pantry Food Bank to provide produce and dry goods to local families in need.

After being introduced to Capriotti’s by his brother, franchisee Ron Mehiel quickly noticed the difference in the high quality meats and fresh ingredients compared to other brands. He was impressed with Capriotti’s tradition of slow-roasting whole turkeys overnight for the freshest flavor and decided to bring the subs to the greater Seattle area. Coming from a family with more than 10 years of experience in franchising, Mehiel brings a wealth of experience and is committed to serving the best quality sandwiches to all of greater Seattle.

With over 100 locations across the nation, Capriotti’s is dedicated to crafting the best tasting subs and sandwiches with the freshest ingredients for an unparalleled taste. Capriotti’s upholds its nightly tradition of slow-roasting whole turkeys in house and hand-shredding them every morning for a consistent flavor that keeps guests coming back for more. Some of the award-winning sandwiches include the shop’s acclaimed best-seller, The Bobbie, made with homemade turkey, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and a touch of mayo on a freshly made roll and the Capastrami, made with hot pastrami, Swiss cheese, Russian dress, and coleslaw. Guests can also enjoy a variety of salads and mouthwatering vegetarian subs like the Veggie Cole Turkey, made with hot vegetarian turkey, provolone cheese, coleslaw, mayo, and topped with Russian dressing.

“Capriotti’s expansion to a new state exemplifies a great milestone in the growing success of our brand and we are one step closer to providing truly unique sandwiches to guests in all corners of the country,” says Ashley Morris, CEO of Capriotti’s. “With over a decade of experience, we are confident Ron will successfully introduce and grow the brand in the Seattle area.”

“Upon taking my first bite of a Capriotti’s sandwich, I was immediately blown away with the great taste and harmony of flavors,” says franchisee Ron Mehiel. “That’s when I decided to share the mouthwatering subs to my community. It is with tremendous pleasure that I will be introducing these delectable subs to the great Northwest and widening the brand’s reach across the U.S.”
