Carl’s Jr., today launched its Spicy BBQ Six Dollar Burger topped with Texas Toothpicks, spicy batter-fried slivers of onions and jalapeños. The Texas Toothpicks are also available as a standalone side.
“The crispy texture and spicy flavor of the Texas Toothpicks combined with equally spicy barbeque sauce make this one of my favorite Six Dollar Burgers,” says Brad Haley, Carl’s Jr. executive vice president of marketing. “Most fast-food chains wouldn’t dare to offer something with this much punch, preferring instead to water down taste in their quest to appeal to the masses. But, Carl’s Jr. customers have come to expect more from us, and The Spicy BBQ Six Dollar Burger won’t disappoint them.”
The Spicy BBQ Six Dollar Burger is charbroiled, like all Carl’s Jr. burgers, and features a generous layer of Texas Toothpicks on a 100-percent Angus beef half-pound patty, two slices of American cheese, lettuce, sliced tomato, and BBQ sauce on a toasted, sesame seed bun.
Participating Carl’s Jr. restaurants will offer The Spicy BBQ Six Dollar Burger at a suggested retail price of $4.59. A side order of Texas Toothpicks will cost $1.89.
