It’s official: the Dallas/Ft. Worth area gained its first Del Taco restaurant as the chain opened the doors to a restaurant in Denton.
The new Del Taco, located at 1715 S. State Loop 288 in Denton, first announced plans to open this past summer.
"We believe the Del Taco brand is a great fit for the Dallas/Ft. Worth market,” said Paul Murphy, Del Taco CEO, at the time of the groundbreaking. “We’re excited to bring our great-tasting food and strong value options to Texas.”
In October, the company held a job fair as it looked to hire 80 employees to staff the new Denton restaurant as cashiers, cooks, and managers. Several hundred people attended the fair.
The new Del Taco restaurant features a new contemporary look that expresses the brand's commitment to fresh, quality food. This new look is brought to life with vibrant colors, updated seating arrangements, and new artwork that tells the story of key Del Taco differentiators, including phrases such as "Cheddar Hand Grated Here" and "Signature Sauces and Salsas.” A second location is planned for McKinney.
“Customers have been visiting the restaurant daily in anticipation of the opening,” Murphy said. “We are thrilled to be open and serving them now.”
