Del Taco Restaurants, Inc. announced the test on its mobile app developed by the brand’s online ordering partner, Olo. Although the free app is currently available for download by iOS and Android users nationwide, the app’s full functionality will be limited to the Sacramento test market.
Mobile app users will have the power to submit, pay and fully customize their Del Taco order all at their fingertips. Orders placed through the app in advance can be picked up via the drive-thru window or inside at the designated pick-up counter permitting guests to skip the line. Additionally, the app will allow users to view current promotions available in the area, see prior orders, track favorite menu items, and save payment methods for a simpler transaction experience. Based on guest feedback of this initial test, the Del Taco app will be optimized per user input before nationwide rollout.

Del Taco’s mobile app is perfect for those short on time or placing large orders, along with guests who enjoy taking time to customize their meal, rather than feeling rushed at the register or drive-thru. Guests who download the app and create an account in the participating test markets will receive The Del Taco, the brand’s bestselling crunchy beef taco, for free. The free taco coupon will be available within 24 hours of app download and first login and will be redeemable with an order placed via the app or online only.
The Del Taco app will be available at 14 corporate locations in Sacramento, as well as three select Orange County restaurants.
