The Fourth Annual Dine America Executive Idea Exchange was a success. Hosted by QSR® magazine, a publication for executives and operators in the foodservice industry, the event took place May 6–8 at Austin, Texas’s, Renaissance Hotel. More than 160 foodservice executives, store owners, and operators took advantage of the opportunity to meet and mingle with their peers and supply partners.
Speakers at this year’s Dine America included Chuck Moran, president and CEO, Delaware North Companies; Dr. Tom Morris, chairman of the Morris Institute for Human Values; Jon Luther, chairman and CEO of Dunkin’ Brands; Steve LaMastra, president and COO of Raving Brands. Panel discussions on the greening of restaurants, the Hispanic marketplace, franchising, immigration law, and menu development were also a part of the line-up.
Best practices were followed by good times. Coca-Cola Foodservice, Dine America’s title sponsor, started the conference off with an opening night NASCAR-themed party. A mixer by sponsored by XPIENT Solutions followed the next night.
“We have already heard from a number of attendees who have let us know that the conference was comfortable and well paced,” said Kevin Donaldson, QSR’s marketing director. “The best part about Dine America is that it’s intimate, which makes it easier for attendees to network with each other, our exceptional vendors, and our world-class speakers. We are looking forward to next year.”
