Celebrating 20 years of giving back, Dutch Bros and its customers partnered on Friday, Sept. 18, for the annual Buck for Kids initiative. Dutch Bros and its franchise partners together raised more than $1.3M to support local youth across the 26 states the coffee chain serves, continuing a two-decades long tradition of turning everyday coffee runs into meaningful impact.
“Reaching 20 years of Buck for Kids reflects our unwavering commitment to local youth and the incredible heart of our crew and customers,” said Debbie Beisswanger, Dutch Bros Foundation Board Member and SVP of Brand Marketing. “Raising over $1.3 million shows what’s possible when we team up with our community. Together, we’re fueling local youth organizations that change lives across our neighborhoods, one cup at a time.”
Local operators and franchisees selected nonprofit partners in their communities, helping ensure funds raised locally support youth close to home. Among this year’s supported partners were local chapters of Big Brothers Big Sisters, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Make-A-Wish, Special Olympics and dozens of other organizations uplifting the next generation.
At participating franchise locations, franchise owners donated $1 or another designated amount per drink sold during the event.
