East Coast Wings & Grill, a North Carolina–based casual family dining restaurant with an emphasis on buffalo wings, announced the promotion of Stacey Kane to chief marketing officer.
Kane joined East Coast Wings & Grill last February as vice president of marketing, in which she led the marketing department and contributed to East Coast Wings & Grill achieving its 12th consecutive year of positive same store sales. In her new capacity, Kane will continue her current responsibilities of overseeing brand positioning, digital marketing, customer acquisition, and social media platforms. The promotion will see her increase focus on data analytics, franchise sales and brand culture.
“Stacey can look at business not only from a marketing perspective, but with an operational mind set as well. Upon joining the company, she implemented both national and localized strategies, which have had a positive effect on sales,” says Sam Ballas, CEO of East Coast Wings & Grill. “It’s been a pleasure watching her ignite the progression and growth of East Coast Wings & Grill, in addition to her personal brand development.”
With more than 20 years of experience working with and building multiunit restaurant chains, Kane’s previous positions in the industry include global director of Buzz at AmRest Restaurants, based in Wroclaw, Poland, which owns close to 800 restaurants with more than nine brands in 12 countries. Prior, Kane joined California Tortilla in 2007, a 40-unit restaurant chain in which she was responsible for overseeing all marketing functions as the vice president of marketing. Preceding her career at California Tortilla, Kane spent 11 years as a top-level media buyer for Subway restaurants. She has also served on several boards, including the Share Our Strength’s Marketing Advisory Board and the National Restaurant Association’s Marketing Executives Group Board.
“Working for East Coast Wings & Grill has allowed me to remain extremely creative, while really diving into data and what drives consumer behavior,” Kane says. “I look forward to continue working with the talented East Coast Wings team and making a difference with an emerging brand.”
