Fro.zen.yo is developing eight new stores in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan region.
The announcement involves two franchisees, one who currently owns several other franchises, and then Dan and Jaquie McDonnell, a marketing and accounting team.
The McDonnells were introduced to Fro.zen.yo by their three children.
“While fro.zen.yo has a phenomenal product line to satisfy almost everyone, as an Ironman Triathlete, my wife and I were looking for an opportunity for a healthy alternative option and have found it, says McDonnell.” “I will run the business with a focus on marketing, general operations, and future expansion while Jaquie will focus on the accounting and financial side of the business.”
The fro.zen.yo concept was created by a management team that brings considerable restaurant and retail experience to the table and is based on a self-serve a la carte format. Recently recognized in Washingtonian Magazine as the Best Frozen Yogurt/Ice Cream, the first fro.zen.yo opened in Friendship Heights in D.C. to rave reviews and long lines of frozen yogurt-cravers. Currently, fro.zen.yo has 8 locations open in the DC metro area.
“We are excited to bring these experienced and motived entrepreneurs to the fro.zen.yo family,” says Michael Rendelman, director of franchising for fro.zen.yo.
