Del Rio, Texas is now the home of the World's Greatest Hamburgers as Fuddruckers brings the sizzle of its grill and signature Build Your Own market fresh produce bar to 2211 Veterans Blvd., a site formerly occupied by Luby's Cafeteria.
The only Fuddruckers location for more than 50 miles, the Del Rio restaurant formally debuts today.
Last year's purchase of Fuddruckers by Luby's Restaurants created some exciting growth opportunities for both brands. In conjunction with the regionally based franchisee, MCM Restaurants Del Rio, LLC, the former Luby's location was repurposed for the new Fuddruckers. This unit represents the second Fuddruckers location for MCM Restaurants, which also owns and operates the nearest store in Eagle Pass.
According to Peter Tropoli, Chief Operating Officer of Luby's Fuddruckers Restaurants, "We are excited to work with MCM Restaurants and introduce the World's Greatest Hamburgers to Del Rio. Not only do our burgers set us apart, but we also feel our warm and vibrant interiors, welcoming team members and our commitment to premium ingredients and toppings will resonate with guests."
The Texas-born fast casual concept, which first debuted more than 30 years ago, prides itself on using only fresh – never frozen – 100% All-American premium-cut beef.
Hamburgers are cooked to order and served on delicious, sesame-topped buns that are baked from scratch onsite throughout the day to achieve the perfect combination of crisp crust and melt-in-your-mouth texture.
Guests can then customize their burger at the legendary Build Your Own produce bar, which offers a fantastic array of fresh produce, including sun-ripened tomatoes, hand-leafed lettuce, sliced onions, dill pickles, pico de gallo, Fudds cheese sauce, and Heinz condiments.
Fuddruckers has nearly 200 restaurants throughout North America. Two-thirds of Fuddruckers restaurants are franchised by small business owners and multi-unit operators in cities and neighborhoods across 32 states, Washington D.C., Canada and Puerto Rico.
