Lion’s Choice, a St. Louis-based quick-service family of restaurants, is now open in Cortex, the innovation and technology district of St. Louis. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the BJC Commons at 4249 Clayton Ave. and open seven days a week.
In addition to serving its legendary roast beef sandwiches and freshly prepared salads, the Cortex Lion’s Choice is the first Missouri location to serve breakfast. Breakfast menu items are offered daily from 6 – 10 a.m. and include a Steak ‘N Egg flatbread sandwich, a Florentine egg white flatbread sandwich, a variety of fresh baked goods and yogurt parfaits and coffee roasted by Kaldi’s Coffee. The new location also offers catering services and features a special quick pickup area for guests who place orders online or by using the Lion’s Choice app.
“The energy and excitement in Cortex are contagious, and we’re thrilled to be a part of the neighborhood,” says Mike Kupstas, CEO of Lion’s Choice. “Whether it’s a quick cup of coffee in the morning or lunch catered for the whole office, our new location in Cortex is ready to welcome hungry guests looking for a quick and delicious meal, served with a smile.”
The Cortex restaurant is Lion’s Choice’s third new location to open in the greater St. Louis area in 2018. The other new restaurants are in O’Fallon, Missouri, and O’Fallon, Illinois. This expansion follows the recent announcement of the company’s plan to open two new restaurants in the Kansas City area later this year.
Founded in St. Louis in 1967, Lion’s Choice started with a vision to serve the best roast beef sandwich in the Midwest in a clean, quick and courteous manner. Lion’s Choice is famous for serving lean, butcher-shop-quality, top-round roast beef, slow-roasted daily on-site, shaved thin to order and served with a dash of secret seasoning on a toasted and steamed bun. Its long-standing devotion to quality, taste and nutrition, has earned Lion’s Choice a loyal customer base across its 25 company-owned and three franchised restaurants throughout the metro St. Louis area. The company recently announced expansion plans outside of St. Louis with the addition of two locations in the Kansas City area in the fall of 2018.
