Jamba Juice, a healthy, active lifestyle brand, announced its first major theatrical motion picture promotion with The Walt Disney Company for the release of Disney’s “Planes,” an action-packed 3D animated comedy adventure, slated to glide into theaters this summer.

Jamba Juice is the U.S. exclusive quick-service restaurant and beverage provider chosen to participate in promotional activities for the movie’s release.

Disney was the first major media company in 2006 to adopt a healthy eating program, working with brands that encourage nutritious, minimally processed whole foods vital to supporting the health and wellbeing of kids, parents, and families.

With a like-minded objective, Jamba Juice created the Jamba Kids platform to support children’s nutrition needs as part of its mission to inspire and simplify healthy, active living for the whole family.

The development of Jamba Kids smoothies and food pairings was guided by Jamba Juice’s Healthy Living Council, comprising nationally renowned registered dietitians. Each smoothie contains 2.5 servings of fruits and/or vegetables, and the food pairings provide a serving of whole grains and are an excellent source of protein.

Jamba Juice will promote the film nationally across all of its participating retail stores with three limited-edition collectible cups with the purchase of a Jamba Kids smoothie.

A fun way to enjoy Jamba Kids smoothies, the “Planes”-themed cups feature the film’s characters: Dusty, Ripslinger, and El Chupacabra.

“Planes” arrives in theaters on Friday, August 9, 2013. The limited-edition “Planes” collectible cups will be available in participating Jamba Juice stores beginning July 30, 2013, until September 15, 2013, or while supplies last.
