“Welcome to Moe’s!” will soon be heard even more often on the streets of Mentor, Ohio, when Moe’s Southwest Grill opens its doors at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 12 at 7599 Mentor Avenue. To celebrate the grand opening, the Mentor Moe’s will be holding a VIP lunch and hosting a competitive fundraiser for two local schools.
On Wednesday, November 11, Moe’s of Mentor will host a special fundraising dinner from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Adults can enjoy a fresh, flavorful Moe’s entrée, any side, and a drink for $10, and children can get a kids’ meal for $4. As part of its commitment to helping the community, the Mentor Moe’s has selected two Mentor public schools as the recipient of 100 percent of the proceeds from the fundraiser; Ridge Middle School and Brentmoor Elementary School will each collect funds at Moe’s that evening and keep all monies raised for their respective school. As an extra incentive, the school with the best turnout will also receive a free catered meal for up to 25 faculty members.
On Thursday, November 12, the new Mentor Moe’s will officially open its doors, and the first 50 customers will receive free Moe’s burritos for a year, and the first 100 will receive a free Moe’s spirit T-shirt. The free burritos for a year prize entitles each winner to one burrito per week at the Mentor Moe’s. Guests can also take advantage of a $3 burrito special all day and spin the prize wheel for a chance to win additional giveaways. The other Mentor Moe’s location at 9710 Mentor Avenue will also offer $3 burritos all day on November 12.
“We are excited that our first opportunity to welcome our neighbors to Moe’s is also a chance to help our local schools,” says owner Ryan O’Hare. “We are deeply committed to doing our part by giving back to the community, and we look forward to another exciting grand opening celebration.”
