Spring, Texas, resident Paul Segreto, president and CEO of Utah-based private equity and franchise development company Franchise Foundry, was recognized as a Certified Franchise Executive by the Institute of Certified Franchise Executives.
Segreto completed a comprehensive course of study in franchise management offered by the institute, which is the academic branch of the International Franchise Association’s (IFA) Educational Foundation.
The IFA is the world’s oldest and largest organization representing franchising worldwide and hosted the presentation during its annual convention in Las Vegas on February 17–20.
Segreto, a 30-year franchise veteran, is a proud member of several franchise associations, including the IFA, serving on its technology and membership Committees; International Association of Franchisees and Dealers; International Association of Franchise Professionals, serving on its Board of Directors; and Franchise Brokers Association.
He is the founder and host of the popular Internet radio show, “Franchise Today;” has cofounded FranSummit, a virtual training platform, to provide effective eLearning solutions for the franchise community; and founded Personal Branding for Franchise Professionals to assist all who work within franchising to develop personal branding strategies to align individual experience and expertise with brand and business development.
Nearly 1,500 franchise executives are now enrolled or have received certification. More than 300 IFA-member companies have one or more executives enrolled in the program, which provides benefits such as specialized knowledge, industry recognition, peer-level networking, and professional standing.
Candidates are required to complete a rigorous course of study to earn the CFE designation, which includes attending institute-sponsored educational seminars and workshops. The program enhances franchise professionals’ understanding of the industry’s fundamental and complex aspects.
