WyckWyre, a restaurant industry HR system, experienced tremendous growth in 2014 under new leadership, reporting a 30 percent increase in total revenue compared to 2013.
"Our customers are telling others in the industry about their experiences with us, and we're receiving a great amount of referral-related growth as a result," says Lisa DiVirgilio, WyckWyre's vice president.
DiVirgilio was appointed as the company's vice president in January 2014, and later brought on Michelle Burke to head WyckWyre's market research team. Melissa Walker, the company's customer programs manager, was also recently promoted to Director of Customer Relations.
"These moves were made in reaction to our customers’ needs. Our marketing team focuses less on attracting new customers, and more on developing information we then provide in the form of webinars, reports, and online courses to both existing and potential customers," DiVirgilio says. "The Director of Customer Relations position was created because there is much more that goes into serving our customers than just the support of our product. This includes developing new ways to attract applicants such as working with customers to create ideal job descriptions, showcasing the long-term opportunity in the industry to new employees and more."
In the last six months, WyckWyre has launched several initiatives under the leadership of DiVirgilio to support the restaurant industry beyond its hiring and onboarding software solutions. WyckWyre Academy is a monthly webinar series that reports findings and information about the industry. The webinars have attracted hiring executives representing an average of 900 restaurant locations each time, not including downloads of the program post-live event.
Another initiative, Serving Success, WyckWyre's most recent launch, is a program that harvests and displays the success stories of those who began entry-level in the industry and moved to higher positions.
"Our focus with Serving Success is to show the opportunity available in the industry at every segment and at every level," DiVirgilio says. "We aim to provide real-life stories of those who have climbed their way to top-ranking positions within their organization in an effort to engage and motivate the future generation of industry leaders. No leadership is as powerful as example is."
WyckWyre works with thousands of restaurant locations nationwide, including some of the largest franchises in the United States such as Bridgeman Foods, DavCo, ERJ Dining, and NPC International.
