Smalls Sliders, dubbed one of the fastest-growing quick-service concepts this year, announced that its newest location is set to open in Flowood on December 7. The location is locally owned and operated by Matt Gallagher and his two sons, Matthew and Zack.

Featuring both drive-thru and walk-up ordering, the brand’s newest Can will be located at 109 E Pineview Dr., just off of Lakeland Drive. On December 7, the first 100 guests in line will receive a pair of free slides to celebrate the opening and the brand’s entrance into the state.

Gallagher is a seasoned entrepreneur with over 40 years of restaurant industry experience. He previously operated several Outback Steakhouse locations in addition to Walk On’s Sports Bistreaux, another concept founded by Brandon Landry. Gallagher was enticed by Landry’s newest concept for its simplistic model and curated menu, both key differentiators in the quick-service space.

“I’ve really enjoyed working with Brandon Landry’s concepts in the past, so Smalls Sliders felt like the natural next step in my ownership journey,” says Gallagher. “I’ve been incredibly eager to get the ball rolling in this process, so it’s a great feeling to open my first Can and truly become a part of each community we’ll be situated in. Not only that, but I’m honored to be the first one to introduce such a fantastic concept to the state of Mississippi. Given the popularity of the brand’s other openings, we expect this to be an action-packed weekend that we’ll all remember for years to come.”

The Flowood location is the first ‘Can’ to open under Gallagher’s four-unit deal in Mississippi, who is also developing an additional four locations across Florida. These multi-state openings mark an exciting pace of momentum for the cheeseburger slider brand, which is expected to double its nationwide location count within the next year.

Smalls Sliders opened its first restaurant in 2019 and has since grown to nine Cans throughout Louisiana, with over 100 locations already in the development pipeline. The restaurant has already garnered industry recognition, with QSR magazine featuring the brand in its “40/40 List for 2022: America’s Hottest Startup Fast Casuals” and its 2023 QSR 50 Contenders list.
