Tricon Global Restaurants Inc. (NYSE:YUM) said on Monday that sales were flat compared with a year ago in stores
opened for at least one year in the four weeks ended Sept. 8.

Same-store sales increased 2 percent at KFC, increased 1 percent at Pizza Hut, and declined 4 percent at Taco Bell, the company said.

For the third quarter, estimated U.S. Tricon same-store sales at company restaurants declined 1 percent, the company said. U.S. brands’
performance was even with last year at both Pizza Hut and KFC, while Taco Bell declined 2 percent, the company said.
