Tropical Smoothie Cafe today unveiled a full-scale brand transformation bringing its “Eat Some Good!” philosophy to life through a new brand identity and guest experience. It all starts with a fresh way of defining tropical, as a state of mind that shows up everywhere guests engage with the brand across digital and in-cafe touchpoints.

“What makes Tropical Smoothie Cafe special is our ability to bring together great-tasting smoothies, freshly prepared food and an uplifting experience that helps guests fuel their day,” said Max Wetzel, Chief Executive Officer, Tropical Smoothie Cafe. “This evolution reflects the brand we’ve become, sharpens how we communicate our distinct position in the market and creates an even stronger foundation for future growth.”

Over the last two years, Tropical Smoothie Cafe has made significant investments in its operations and menu innovation. As a result, it has surpassed $1.6 billion in system sales as of July 2026, grown its loyalty program to 13 million members—a 25 percent increase in a single year—and opened its 1,700ᵗʰ cafe in April 2026, putting it on track to reach more than 1,800 cafes by year-end.

The new brand transformation, created in partnership with global branding agency JKR, will support the company’s next phase of growth. With a robust pipeline across 44 states, Tropical Smoothie Cafe is engaging with multi-unit, multi-brand operators and expanding its footprint across non-traditional locations such as airports and military bases. The brand also has plans underway for international expansion.

“When you step into a Tropical Smoothie Cafe, you feel it before you can name it — the sights, the smells, the sounds,” said JB Hartford, Executive Creative Director, JKR. “We saw a chance to treat ‘tropical’ less as a place and more as a feeling, one guests could carry with them everywhere, matching the energy and craveability that’s always defined the food itself.”

Now, the brand feels instantly recognizable wherever guests interact with it, from a redesigned logo brought to life with the same vibrancy and character found in the cafes themselves, to a playful ‘Palm T’ icon that works as a tropical shorthand on its own. Color, illustration, photography and motion all carry that same energy forward, with a palette of Palm Frond Green and Sunset Orange, and photography that feels sun-kissed and warm in every frame.

That momentum is fueling investment in a smarter, more intuitive way for guests to interact with Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Over the next several months, a redesigned, more unified web and app experience will roll out, built to reflect the spirit of the brand itself. Guests can look forward to browsing the menu, customizing their favorites, accessing loyalty benefits and checking out in one seamless journey — whether on the app, online or in-cafe.

“This goes beyond how the brand looks,” said Deborah von Kutzleben, Chief Marketing Officer, Tropical Smoothie Cafe. “It’s about creating a stronger, more consistent brand experience across every touchpoint, one that guests will feel the next time they order, true to the energy, quality and optimism that have always driven our business.”

The changes will begin rolling out across Tropical Smoothie Cafe locations and digital platforms in the coming weeks.
