Urbane Cafe is growing its Central Coast presence with its new Goleta location, bringing its take on fresh, made-from-scratch dining to the broader Santa Barbara area. Known for its house-baked focaccia, gourmet sandwiches and signature bowls, the California-born brand will welcome guests at its newest location on Monday, October 26.
Since opening its doors in Ventura in 2003, Urbane Cafe has set out to make fresh, high-quality food a staple of the fast-casual experience. The brand’s menu features focaccia baked from scratch every day, gourmet sandwiches paired with fresh side salads, hearty bowls and house-made sauces. Each location is an open scratch kitchen with a signature hearth oven, where guests can watch their meals come together.
“We love the Central Coast and are excited to bring our scratch-made menu to Goleta,” said Tom Holt, Founder of Urbane Cafe. “The Santa Barbara community has been inquiring about a location for a long time – and we are thrilled that we are able to officially be a part of their amazing community. To mark the Goleta debut, Urbane Cafe will celebrate with a lineup of grand opening offerings for community members to enjoy:
- Grand Opening Day (October 26): The first 50 guests in line will receive a free sandwich every month for a year (12 sandwiches total). A ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce will take place at 10 a.m.
- Student Giveback Day (October 28): Students can enjoy a complimentary sandwich, salad or bowl when they order through the Urbane Cafe app with a promotional code. Students must sign up here in advance to receive the code and present a valid student ID at pickup. Limited to 500 Students.
- Teacher Giveback Day (November 4): Teachers and school staff can enjoy a complimentary sandwich, salad or bowl by completing the RSVP form here to receive a promotional code and placing an online order.
This opening comes on the heels of opening the first-ever location in Glendale in September, furthering the brand’s ambitious growth goals. Urbane Cafe plans to open six new Southern California locations in 2027, with a long-term target of 100 total locations by 2030. Building on its active growth into Las Vegas and Arizona, the brand continues to prioritize strategic expansion while preserving the food quality, guest experience and company culture that have defined Urbane Cafe since its founding.
