Wingstop Restaurants, Inc. has signed 3 new franchise development agreements to bring the first Wingstop restaurants to Florida. Three new owner/operators will open restaurants in Tallahassee, Gainesville, and Orlando, Florida.

Deborah and Gary Coaker will be the first to open. They have signed a lease to open in the Lafayette Place Shopping Center at 3111 Mahan Drive in Tallahassee, Florida some time in October. With twenty years in the restaurant business, Deborah Coaker, formerly the director of Operations for Taco Bell restaurants in the Tallahassee and Daytona Beach areas, will manage the restaurant with the help of her husband, Gary.

Two other development agreements have been signed to open restaurants in Gainesville, and metro Orlando, Florida. “We are very pleased and excited to be coming to Florida,” said Swad. “Our restaurants fit into the new fast-casual category, a category that appeals to everyone.”

In just three years of franchising, Wingstop now has 31 restaurants open and another 50 under development in twelve states: Texas, Louisiana, Virginia, Georgia, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Missouri, Colorado, Arizona, Illinois, Nevada, and now Florida.
