Which Colleges Eat the Most Chipotle?

    There are four Florida schools in the top 10.

    Chipotle Mexican Grill released a list this week of the 25 college areas that order the most food from their restaurants. The release comes as a celebration of the chain’s final “Free Delivery Sunday” on September 29.

    University of Colorado Boulder was first. Chipotle was founded in Denver, which is just 45 minutes from the university.

    California had four college areas represented on the list and Florida had five. Maryland, Ohio, and Pennsylvania each had two.

    Other states present were Arizona, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.

    The top menu items among college areas were chicken bowls, guac, steak bowls, and chicken burritos.

    Capella University, not mentioned in the top 25 list, came in first in six of the short lists of top areas by ingredient consumption and first in the list of the top five areas for most deliveries. The university was also mentioned in each of the other short lists.

    New York University in Manhattan was first on the short list for both the most guacamole and sofritas.
