Arby’s Restaurant Group, Inc. announced its acquisition of 40 restaurants from franchisees Dan Soules and Mark Dunn of Grant Avenue Development, Inc. The restaurants acquired by ARG are located in New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia.
With this purchase, ARG now operates more than 1,100 company-owned restaurants in the United States. System wide, there are more than 3,400 Arby’s restaurants in seven countries.
“For more than 30 years, Dan and Mark have helped grow the Arby’s brand in the Northeast,” says Rob Lynch, president of Arby’s. “We’re very thankful for their decades of service to Arby’s and for the positive impact they’ve made on thousands of Arby’s team members over the years.”
“From our first restaurant in 1987 to our 40th, being a part of this brand has meant so much to our team,” says Dunn, chief financial officer of Grant Avenue Development. “We are confident that these restaurants will continue to thrive under the leadership of ARG.”
ARG will own and operate these restaurants and will begin the process of remodeling, when appropriate. Remodeled restaurants feature Arby’s Inspire design, which delivers an upgraded guest experience and includes design elements such as wood tones, white brick, subway tiles, stainless steel finishes, chalkboard graphics, and upgraded lighting and landscaping.
