The Journal Square location is owned by local residents Mikhael and Hanna. The 25-year-old entrepreneur, Mikhael says “Although my background is in finance-specifically wealth management- it has always been a lifelong dream of mine to open up a unique franchise like BurgerIM. I’ve always wanted to create job opportunities in the heart of the community which I grew up in. Also as a foodie and lover-of-all- burgers, I strongly, believe that after a long day, or a long morning, of hard work- there’s nothing a good burger can’t fix.”
Similar to his business partner, Oliver Hanna, expresses his deeply rooted interest in further growing the community that immensely shaped his youth. “I’m always looking for ways to give back. I’ve been blessed to be able to bring BurgerIM to Jersey City and to have the opportunity to increase employment and provide the community with a unique place to enjoy a meal with family & friends.” Mentioned Hanna.
With BurgerIM located across the street from New Jersey’s largest transportation hub (Path Train Station), in the heart of Jersey City’s business district and densely populated residential area- it is the perfect go-to-spot for a quick and flavorful bite to eat during a lunch hour or on the weekend with some friends.
BurgerIM recognizes the importance and hard work provided by police officers, firefighters, and paramedics in the community. To show our gratitude for their outstanding service, BurgerIM is proud to announce that it offers 50% off discounts for all on-duty first responders and 10 percent for all off-duty first responders on all of their meals.
Robert Mackowski and Glenn Beyer of RKF as well as Michel Asayag of Home Quest Properties assisted in the retail transaction.
