Donovan McNabb and the Philadelphia Eagles will team up with McDonald’s to introduce two Veterans Stadium commemorative, Donovan McNabb bobbing head dolls. The poly resin dolls will be available exclusively at McDonald’s Restaurants of the Greater Philadelphia Region starting Friday, September 6—just in time for the Eagles’ first regular season game against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, September 8.

The bobbing head dolls feature McNabb throwing a football, wearing an Eagles cap and his green jersey; and McNabb wearing his white jersey, holding a football and helmet. The dolls also feature a patent-pending design of McNabb standing inside a replica of Veterans Stadium. Each doll will cost $5.99 with any McDonald’s purchase.

“McDonald’s is excited to commemorate the Eagles’ last season playing at the Vet by offering our customers the Donovan McNabb in Veterans Stadium bobbing head doll,” said David Santoro, McDonald’s Owner/Operator and Co- President of McDonald’s Owner/Operator Association of the Greater Philadelphia Region. “Bobbing heads have proven to be a favorite among our customers and the new dolls are a special treat for Eagles fans everywhere.”

In August 2001, McDonald’s Restaurants of the Greater Philadelphia Region introduced its first Donovan McNabb bobbing head doll, which was the first ever to feature a Philadelphia Eagle.

On Wednesday, August 28, McNabb will be on hand for a special preview of the doll at approximately 12:00 p.m., following the team’s morning practice at the NovaCare Complex. At that time, McDonald’s will also present McNabb with a $15,000 donation to the Donovan McNabb Foundation, which was created in an effort to educate, encourage and enrich the lives of those who suffer from diabetes. Donovan will be joined by Co-President of the McDonald’s Owner/Operator Association of the Greater Philadelphia Region Dave Santoro, Ronald McDonald, and children from the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation for the special unveiling and check presentation.

“Donovan is thrilled to partner with McDonald’s again for this new bobbing head promotion commemorating the Vet,” said Peter Raskin, Senior Director, Talent Marketing at SFX Sports Group. “Both McDonald’s and Donovan are committed to family-driven programs, and the dolls are a great way for McDonald’s customers and Eagles’ fans alike to bring home `a little’ excitement.”
