Godfather’s Pizza in Pekin, Illinois, will hold a grand re-opening event at its newly remodeled unit on Friday, July 19, from 4 to 8 p.m.

The first 20 guests will receive a free Godfather’s Pizza retro T-shirt. All customers will have a chance to take pictures and get autographs with the Godfather, as well as receive door prizes such as tumblers and carryout bags. There will also be a drawing for a chance to win free pizza for a year.

The restaurant will now feature new countertops, updated floors, a Coca-Cola Freestyle drink machine, an upgraded salad bar, and refreshed bathrooms.

“We’re always looking for better ways to serve our loyal fans and we feel the updates will be a big hit with our customers,” says director of operations Stephanie Riggs. “We couldn’t be happier with the renovation.”

The Pekin Chamber of Commerce will be on site for a ribbon cutting at 3:30 p.m.

In addition, Godfather’s Pizza in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is holding a grand-opening event on Thursday, August 1, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
