Panda Express announced the launch of its Honey Walnut Shrimp. Debuting at all Panda Express restaurants on March 10, the premium entrée is made with fresh tempura shrimp, wok-tossed in Panda’s signature gourmet honey sauce and topped with glazed walnuts.

Panda Express’ Honey Walnut Shrimp is the latest creation from executive chef Andy Kao, who first served the dish more than 25 years ago at Panda Inn, the company’s flagship restaurant concept. The dish had a tremendous following and Chef Kao spent the last three years perfecting the ingredients and cooking techniques that now define the dish.

“Honey Walnut Shrimp will quickly become a fan-favorite,” says Glenn Lunde, Panda Express senior vice president and chief marketing officer. “Our guests are looking for new and exciting flavors and we are proud to offer our first premium shrimp entrée to satisfy those high expectations.”

To thank its guests and celebrate the national debut of Honey Walnut Shrimp, on March 10 the company will celebrate “Free Honey Walnut Shrimp Wednesday” at participating stores nationwide. Guests will receive a free single entrée serving of Honey Walnut Shrimp with an exclusive coupon available to Panda Express Facebook Fans. Guests are encouraged to “friend” Panda Express to receive their coupon.
