On December 2, Kneaders Bakery and Café celebrate its “Sweet 16 Birthday” with the opening of its new location in Orem, Utah. Kneaders has been an Orem institution since opening its first location at 1990 North State St. in 1997. As part of this celebration, the first 100 customers will receive free French toast as part of the Sweet 16 festivities. Regular hours of operation will be Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

“Over the years we’ve outgrown our store and knew it was time to build a larger site,” says CEO James Worthington. “We are thrilled to open our flagship store just one door down from the original location.”

The company has seen tremendous growth over the past 16 years, with 20 locations in Utah alone. The brand has 25 total locations, with stores in Meridian, Idaho; Yuma, Arizona; Gilbert, Arizona; and a new location in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

“We’ve had tremendous growth over the past couple years, and plan to continue our expansion through the rest of this year and into 2014,” Worthington says. “Our growth would not have been possible without the success of the initial Orem location and our amazing employees that we work with everyday.”
